Winfield Sporter / Johnson Model 1941 .30-06 Semi Automatic Self Loading Rifle. 'Rare" Designed by Melvin Johnson in 1939 and submitted for the US Army but was rejected in favor of the M1 Garand. During WW2 in the Pacific theater the US armed forces acquired these in quantity from the Dutch Indies troops from the Netherlands and were repeatedly submitted to the US Ordnance Board for approval but failed. A rotating magazine, short recoil, light machine gun in semi automatic. Has been reblued.
